WIN A STEVE GADD AUTOGRAPHED DRUM STICK!

One of the most recorded drummers of all time, Steve Gadd has
worked with everyone from Chick Corea to Paul Simon, Maynard
Ferguson to Eric Clapton. When it comes to his own projects,
Gadd loves to play good-time groove music that has the
danceable qualities and bluesiness of the best R&B
along with the adventurous solos and impeccable
musicianship of jazz.

On Live At Voce, Gadd is joined by Joey DeFrancesco
(arguably the World's greatest organist), the passionate
baritone-saxophonist Ronnie Cuber, and the versatile
guitarist Paul Bollenbeck. Together they create grooves
and hard-driving swing that are reminiscent of the best
organ groups of the 1960s including an early George
Benson band that featured Cuber. The infectious rhythms,
catchy material, and colorful ensembles make
this band impossible to resist.

We are promoting Live At Voce with a free track available
for download here and a competition to win a pair
of autographed drum sticks!

    GADD TRANSCRIPTIONS BOOK: BY FILIPSKI

The Steve Gadd drumming transcriptions book honors the talents of
one of the greatest drummers in the entire world: the amazing Steve Gadd. The book includes thirty stylistically varying transcriptions. It
is a note for note, very accurate interpretation of Steve Gadd’s style
of playing the drums. In some cases there are only fragments that
present the most interesting parts of the given song.
The music is clearly notated and easy to read.

  WHERE'S ERIC?

*Special thanks to Tony Edser (Editor, Where's Eric!)
for this excerpt...

WE!:
Do you have a regular routine when you
do these long Albert Hall runs?

SG: My routine is to get up and go out jogging in the morning;
me and Andy [Fairweather Low] do that, then we go to Starbucks! Sometimes I may have to go to meetings, or I may meet up
with friends, otherwise, I just sort of rest for the show.
I don’t have too many other things to do, my focus is
to be ready to play.

I read in the tour programme that you haven’t played
with Willie Weeks before ?

Actually, we have! We’ve recorded, but I’ve never
played livewith Willie. In the 70s, we worked together
on the first Rickie Lee Jones album. At that time he
was in Californiaand I was in New York, then he moved
to Nashvilleand we ended up working in different
parts of the country. But it’s been so much fun playing
with him in Eric’s band, it’s great.

You’ve managed to lock in quite well together.
Was it an easy process for you?
You played with Nathan East in Eric’s band for a long time …

Yeah. I love the way Willie plays this gig. Nathan’s a
great player and a great musician but I’m having a
lot of fun with this band the way it is.

  PLEASE HELP:

The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to
click on it daily so they can meet their quota of getting FREE FOOD donated every day to abused and neglected animals. It takes less
than a minute (about 15 seconds) to go to their site and click on the purple box 'fund food for animals for free'. This only costs you a few
seconds of your time. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals
in exchange for advertising.

Here's the web site! Please pass it along to people you know -

Thanks, in advance, for your kindness.
