MASTER SERIES BY HUDSON MUSIC DVD:
Learn how to play like Gadd in this Masterclass DVD!
In 2006, the Zildjian company launched its third
“Mission from Gadd” North American clinic tour
giving drummers across the country an opportunity
to experience Steve Gadd’s humility, generosity,
and creative genius firsthand. On this DVD, Steve is
featured in an intimate master class setting at the
Manhattan School of Music in New York City, May 2006.
Longtime fans of Steve— as well as younger drummers
just discovering him— will treasure Steve’s wisdom
and insights on a wide variety of topics: funk patterns,
rudiments applied to the kit, playing with a click,
tips for the studio, brush patterns, odd phrases,
Mozambique/Latin ideas: it’s all here.
The extensive question-and-answer segments allow Steve
to discuss several of his legendary performances, including
“Aja,” “Nite Sprite,” “Late in the Evening” and “50 Ways to
Your Lover.” Steve also performs solo pieces that contain
the essential tools and techniques that comprise
his incredibly influential style and approach.

THE NEW L'Image album "2.0"
Here is the direct link to iTunes:

"Very few groups have ever followed this trajectory:
L'Image formed in Woodstock, in the mid 1970's, when
Steve Gadd and Tony Levin moved there to join
Mike Mainieri and Warren Bernhardt, rehearsing and
writing in Mike's barn for six months. The band then
did live gigs, often joined by David Spinozza on guitar,
but, though record deals were offered, other musical
forces pulled the musicians in different directions
(Steve joining Stuff, Mike forming the seminal jazz group
Steps, Tony going out with Paul Simon and Peter Gabriel,
Warren and David recording numerous solo albums.)
The group never recorded that first album...
until last October (2008) - reconvening in the Woodstock
area the group made their first official release,
perversely titling it 2.0."
-Tony Levin
